[Faculty] Notice of Preventative Maintenance Affecting vHost Websites

Dear Faculty, 

You are receiving this email to notify you of urgent preventative
maintenance that may affect access to your UCR websites on Saturday,
December 12, 2020 from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM PST.       

During the maintenance window users will be unable to access any website
that is currently hosted on vHost. Please note that the upcoming maintenance
only affects websites that are hosted on the vHost platform. Drupal
websites, including most departmental sites, are not hosted on vHost and
will not be affected. However, it is our understanding that some faculty lab
and department sites are still hosted on vHost. 

This planned maintenance is required to prevent unexpected outages, such as
the one experienced last weekend. Given the urgent need for this
maintenance, the event date and time were selected to try to ensure minimal
potential impact to campus operations and events.
