[Faculty] ILTI Grant Opportunities

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Vice Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Education, please see the below call for 20 Remote Course Conversion grants that will be awarded in December 2020.

In this unprecedented time in which we have transitioned most of our courses to remote teaching due to COVID-19, these new grants are designed to help leverage our newfound collective knowledge to develop stronger, more innovative courses. This grant seeks to improve the quality of our current remote courses that showcase the integration of some of UCR’s latest educational technologies such as Canvas and YuJa.  Faculty members who are awarded these grants will work with one of the instructional designers in XCITE to enhance their current remote course following best practices for online course design and development. This is an opportunity for faculty members to become certified online instructors from a nationally recognized organization and to gain valuable knowledge and insight into online teaching and learning.

Finally, consider applying if you teach one of the priority courses characterized in this grant call. The priority courses have been shown to contribute foremost to the university’s rising graduation and retention rates, and are most crucial in helping our students succeed and stay on track to be academically successful. If you want more information on the grant call, XCITE will be hosting a webinar on Monday, October 19th from noon – 1pm. A recorded version of the webinar will be put on the Keep Teaching website (keepteaching.ucr.edu) if you cannot attend the session.
