[Faculty] Call for Advancing Faculty Diversity Proposals

[VPAP]

Dear Colleagues,



Please find attached the RFPs for UCOP Advancing Faculty Diversity grants for this year.


We will use a pre-proposal submission and review process where project ideas are described in a short (two-page maximum) project outline.  A template for a two-page preproposal is attached. Pre-proposals should be submitted to the Vice Provost of Academic Personnel (vpap at ucr.edu) by April 24th.  A review committee will select from the pre-proposals a subset of projects for which full proposals will be invited.  You will be notified by April 28th if your pre-proposal is selected.



During development of the full proposal, it is important to ensure accuracy of statements and buy-in from the units involved.  In addition, consultation with the offices of DEI and APO is encouraged for advice on how to incorporate existing resources and DEI language and programming into the proposal.  Each of the RFPs includes an Appendix B that provides abstracts of previously funded proposals.



The final full proposal, including any necessary support letters, must reach APO via vpap at ucr.edu by May 22nd in order that there is sufficient time for APO to submit the assembled file by the UCOP deadline of May 26th.
