PRIA 5 – Pesticide Registrant Training Development

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking applications from
land-grant colleges, non-land-grant colleges of agriculture, and 1994
Institutions to develop training for pesticide registrants on regulatory
procedures as outlined in the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act
(PRIA). The goal is to enhance the efficiency, clarity, and consistency of
the EPA's pesticide registration processes. The selected awardee will also
help identify agricultural focus areas for crop tours. Overall objectives
include improving skills, aligning competencies with the EPA's mission,
promoting best practices, and educating stakeholders on regulatory
procedures.

PAR-24-326: Limited Competition: Basic Instrumentation Grant (BIG) Program

The Basic Instrumentation Grant (BIG) Program encourages applications from
groups of NIH-supported investigators to purchase a single piece of new,
costly, specialized, commercially available instrument or an integrated
instrumentation system. The minimum award is $25,000. There is no maximum
price limit for the instrument; however, the maximum award is $350,000.
Instruments supported include, but are not limited to, basic cell sorters,
confocal microscopes, ultramicrotomes, gel imagers, or computer systems

Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences

The Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences provides funding to
young investigators of outstanding promise in science relevant to the
advancement of human health. An award of $75,000 per year for four years
will be provided to the sponsoring institution for use at the discretion of
the Pew scholar, for personnel, equipment, supplies, or travel directly
related to the scholar's research and to best advance his or her research
and career.

Beckman Scholars Program

The purpose of the Beckman Scholars Program is to help stimulate,
encourage, and support research activities by talented, full-time
undergraduate students who are pursuing their studies at accredited
four-year colleges and universities located in the United States of
America. These research activities shall be centered in either chemistry,
biochemistry, the biological and medical sciences, or some
interdisciplinary combination of these subjects and conducted under the
guidance of a full-time, approved science faculty member at the college or
university receiving an award. Candidates for the Beckman Scholars Award
must be full-time students throughout the duration of the award.
