Management Communication
Please use the attached "NOTICE TO EMPLOYEES" for physical posting on your employee bulletin boards. The notice must be posted immediately and must remain posted until Friday, July 16, 2021 (30 consecutive workdays). The Notice has already been distributed to Service (SX) and Patient Care (EX) Employees via email. Do not forward this communication to employees.
After a hearing in Unfair Practice Case No. SF-CE-1188-H, American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees Local 3299 v. Regents of the University of California, it has been found that the Regents of the University of California violated the Prohibition on Public Employers Deterring or Discouraging Union Membership chapter (PEDD), Government Code section 3550 et seq. and the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA), Government Code section 3560 et seq. by the letter and FAQ it distributed to represented employees on or about June 28, 2018.
As a result, the University has been ordered to post the attached Notice to Employees, which must be posted by Friday, June 4, 2021 through Friday, July 16, 2021. In order to meet our posting obligation, please post the notice in all locations where all employees work. Where a physical posting may not yet be practical, please let this office know at labor.relations at ucr.edu<mailto:labor.relations at ucr.edu>.
In addition to the physical posting in each department, the attached notice will be posted on the Human Resources website under the "News" section with the heading "Notice to Employees of Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) Decision re. Unfair Practice Case No. SF-CE-1188-H."
