RE:         2024-2025 Grant Changes to Omnibus Travel Only + Research and Travel


The Committee on Research is combining and simplifying the Research & Travel (RTA) and Travel Only (TO) applications. The new application will no longer require a written proposal or budget justification. However, for awards involving the use of rDNA/biohazards, human pluripotent cells, or human or animal subjects, a copy of the final Proposal Narrative and protocol number will need to be submitted for verification with the UCR Office of Research Integrity.

The committee felt that the award amount for the RTA did not warrant a full application. The new application will be awarded a set amount determined by the committee's budget and number of applications received.

Committee on Research, Regent Faculty Fellowship, and Regent Faculty Development, applications will be unchanged.
