[Students] UPDATE: Campus NEC Phone Services Restored

Dear Campus Phone Users,
The Campus NEC legacy phone system has been restored. Campus phone
extensions are able to receive and make outgoing phone calls, including for
911 services.
Zoom Phone users experienced no service disruption throughout the NEC
outage.
At approximately 8:30 AM, UCR Information Technology Systems (ITS) received
reports of users experiencing phone issues with the Campus Legacy NEC
system and began investigating. It was determined that the service
disruption was a widespread issue affecting all users of the NEC phone
system. ITS deployed all staff and key vendor contacts to resolve the issue
and restore services as quickly as possible.
Again, please note that Zoom is the preferred phone service for the campus,
as the Legacy NEC phone system has reached End-Of-Life (EOL). We encourage
your unit to contact ITS to opt into Zoom Phone services
