Re:       Notice of Request for Recognition for Student Services and Advising Professionals

Dear Colleagues,

The United Automobile, Aerospace, Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) union, is attempting to organize UC Student Services and Advising Professionals to become their exclusive representative regarding terms and conditions of employment.

Attached is a copy of the UAW's Request for Recognition and HEERA Representation Petition which must be posted no later than today, Monday, November 18, 2024. Under the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) rules, the notice must be conspicuously posted on physical and electronic bulletin boards at all locations where employees in the proposed unit work.

Please note that the notice must be posted as soon as possible and no later than Monday, November 18. The notice must remain in place until December 11, 2024.

In addition to the posting in departments employing Student Services and Advising Professionals, the notice will be posted on the Human Resources website under the “News” section with the heading “UAW’s Request for Recognition Seeking Exclusive Representation of Student Services and Advising Professionals at the University of California.”

Lastly, departments are required to report their postings via UCOP’s Smartsheet at UAW Notice Posting Info - SF-RR-1050-H Form<https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/55475d1334eb4793bab8d6b72fa4fd80>. Please complete this information today.
