Dear Campus Community,

Dr. Martin's presentation will be this Thursday, May 27th from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. and is open to any member of the UC Riverside community.

Martin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health at UC San Diego, and is Epidemiology Program Leader for UC San Diego's Return to Learn Steering Committee.

Since March 2020 she has been developing models of how SARS-CoV-2 might spread on campus and in San Diego. Her recent models address possible on-campus infections based on the percentage of faculty, staff, and students who have been vaccinated.

Martin holds an honorary senior lecturer position at the University of Bristol. She also is the co-director of the Biostatistics and Modeling Core of the UC San Diego Center for AIDS Research. She has worked for 18 years developing mathematical models of disease progression and transmission in both communicable and non-communicable diseases.

The session will be recorded and available for future viewing on the UC Riverside YouTube Channel<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M59pTojNEU>.

I hope you will find this webinar helpful as we navigate complex discussions around UCR's return to campus<http://campusreturn.ucr.edu/> operations.

Sincerely,
